The Taking Of America 1 2 3

THE GIFT OF CULTURAL DIVERSITY IS FOR PEOPLE NOT CORPORATIONS.

We have all heard a story that begins like this: “When they came for the Jews, I stood silent, When they came for the Gypsy’s, I said nothing, Now their coming for me; who will stand up for me?”

In very few words this historical reminder of Germany’s greatest failure, reminds us of a similar experience and one of the reasons our founding fathers formed America. Our nation was to be a cohesive nation made strong, not weak, by our differences! We would respect the minorities and treat them as equals. We chose to do this for selfish reasons as well as idealistic ones. One of these selfish being our own protection, as the German story reminds us. Of course we, in our great experiment with democracy, have learned of many more reasons to be diverse.

In the poem, “I hear America Singing,” by Walt Whitman, we discover some of the magic that professional diversity affords us. Each industrious worker is seen doing his job. As Americans we should remember the different nations that joined us each bringing their unique skill. This is the key to our longevity and what has made us greater than any other nation on Earth!

Since I was a little kid, I heard stories of the Mohawks who helped build skyscrapers. In 1886, a Canadian company, building a bridge over the St. Lawrence river discovered the Mohawk’s fearless nature, when they hired them to help build the bridge. The Mohawks climbed steel like it was second nature. When a span collapsed killing 30 of their tribesmen, they came in greater numbers seeing it as a challenge not a failure.

About half of the 19th century Italian immigrants were laborers, compared to 1/3 of the Irish and Germans. Contracted out by professional labor brokers known as “Padrones” they dug tunnels, built bridges, laid tracks and helped build skyscrapers. In Chicago over 90% of the steel workers were Italians.

Each nation brought its skills and the blessings of its unique gene pool and culture. The Jews became lawyers, doctors and business owners. The Irish made our cities safe as, policemen, firemen and other city workers. The list goes on and on…

But back to the story of “When they came for the Jews…” President Eisenhower warned us to beware of the “Military Industrial Complex.” He was warning us of the dangerous political influence that corporate America had discovered was within its grasp. He was warning us that we needed to stay true to our principles by keeping the values of our founding fathers, our Judeo-Christian values.

Now nearly a quarter of a century back, corporate America was noting that it could not balance its books, when it kept its contractual obligations to its employees. For example, GM had promised to be the healthcare “god” to its workers and this expenditure was now causing them to pass along too much of this financial burden to car buyers. Many corporations were guilty of this as well, as in promising retirement plans they could not afford later. Our Government was one of the very worst of those in promising both to its employees and then passing along this unearned expense to taxpayers.

In the Clinton era, an unholy alliance was forming. Corporate money for elections, if you take the burden off the corporate books and put it on the taxpayers! Hillary could now smell election victory as the first female president; all she needed was healthcare reform.

Government should be about doing the right thing for the people but, it has become about getting re-elected and serving whatever master has the most money. This it turns out, is the corporate alliance that Ike warned us about. As a result, the medical profession, then made of loosely knit organizations of individual entrepreneurs became their target. The real issues of health care reform and efficiency were never tackled because it dealt with death and dying. Death and dying means dealing with religious values as well as philosophical ones, which are hard to face and too easy to skirt. A huge majority of healthcare expenses comes from what we call “heroic” efforts to keep the sick, dying, very old alive. This effort often ends in their suffering a degrading death at the hands of too many technicians and doctors. Witness to this is in the form of the ever growing number of Living Wills, Do Not Resuscitate Agreements and Health Care Proxys.

The doctors of America were the ideal target for corporate savings; they were small business owners and had no unions to defend them.. Over the next quarter century doctors were then bled into bankruptcy. As a result, individual doctors, practicing privately, are now a rarity. Doctor’s incomes have dropped so significantly, thanks to corporate run managed care, that the majority of doctors are part time mom’s or foreigners from impoverished nations such as India (not to say the Indians are not excellent doctors).

In every song we need a refrain that repeats, so here it comes again. “When they came for the Jews…” Are you beginning to see that pattern of history?

The corporations next discovered that they could make more money if they hired foreigners from third world nations and yet still claimed to be American companies. They claimed to be American companies to keep all the benefits of your paying for their defense with your life should they be threatened. Of course your life would not matter as they fired you and hired the workers overseas. Oh yes, they would bribe you with the short sighted benefit of low cost Chinese products,  until your bank account ran out. Soon you and your neighbors lost their jobs and were forced into low paying service jobs at Home Depot or Walmart to sell the foreign products that were putting you out of work.

More recently the government has decided that the taxpayers should pay for corporate failures by being obligated to pay for corporate financial losses and fraud.

Lets try the refrain again with a little update, “When they came for the Doctors, I stood silent, When they came for the blue collar workers, I said nothing, Now they are coming for me; who will stand up for me?”

When you laugh at the disorganized rag tag protestors of “Wall Street.” Remember you are part of America and their concerns are in many ways yours. If you are an aging Hippy or a proud Viet Nam era vet note that you are not dead yet. America is not dead yet. America gains its power from diversity not homogeneity. Before they take America, take it back! Overcome the illusions of disagreement and remember that we are all in this together and for Each Other. Corporations and Governments are soul-less institutions that have taken over the rights of God’s children.  Trump promised to bring business back to America to employ Americans and he promised to keep the influence of government for the people, by the people and of the people (not corporate bribes to congressmen).  Let’s see that Trump keeps his promises and not let the media divide Americans.

I believe our founding fathers would organize against the corporatocracy that has taken over America, what about you?  Hold Trump to his promises and stay united for all.

Saving American Democracy From Corporations

The Supreme Court’s decision to unfetter corporate money-bag-400301_640political contributions needs to be reversed by local action!

Bernie Sanders had a point  in his quest for the reversal of Citizens United in 2012 but not the method to attack it. Bernie wanted a constitutional Amendment to reverse Citizens United; however using a sledgehammer to kill ants is not logical as it consequent side effects are too widespread. Bernie’s approach was just as illogical even though his goal was good for America.

Giving corporations the rights of human beings, specifically freedom of speech but defined in cash, makes no sense to most Americans.  In fact it is odious!  The citizens of America have forever fought the battle of efforts by the corporate wealthy to establish a corporatocracy and before corporation’s existed by those who wished for a Plutocracy.

Five years of the resultant legislative action and reaction (after Citizens United) is hard to reverse, just as will be the failed attempt at national healthcare by  those who legislated for ObamaCare. ObamaCare may be changed in name and in structure but its roots like that of many invasive plants will never be fully removed.

corruptionIn the case of Citizens United, a grassroots effort to chip away at its foundations accross America may be our best bet.  There is clear precedent for this approach when you consider the results of efforts to maintain the Right To Bear Arms and those of the movement to allow for Gay Marriage. Here is a story much on this point from The Atlantic…..

China and Bust!

Who Makes Your Electronics And Missiles?

On September 29th 2011, 6 years ago,  China launched its Tiangong-1 Space Lab (video).  Launched on a Long-March rocket from the Gobi desert,  it was the  first step towards the creation of a Space Station to be completed in 2020.  The year 2020, is the year that the international space station was to be  scheduled for decommission (better known as the junk yard).  If a new one is not built, or something done to extend the life of the current one, this will leave China with the Earth’s only space station!

China is not currently part of the International space station project because the US had refused to let it become part of the project.  One reason is because of US concerns about China’s military goals for space.  Not at all unreasonable.

If you recall,  it was building roads that helped the Roman Empire expand and become a historic power. Through history the power of transportation,  communication and technology has been an asset in times of war or even cold war.  If concerns about China are real,  should they be making most of our technology?   The answer is obvious!

How far has China gone in the direction of dominating space?  Almost nothing is seen in our news media chinese-tiangong-space-station-3regarding their achievements.  Here are a few to ponder:   In 2003, China put its first man in space,   In 2008 China achieved its first space walk,   In 2010 China launched its first unmanned mission to the Moon to map its surface (probably a precursor to a future lunar landing).   Make no mistake about it,  China has forward thinking leadership and plans to be a space faring power! China Aims to Become Global aerospace power, Says President Xi Jinping

It is clearly time to see that our government helps stimulate the growth of industry and technology in America.  Leaving it to Transnational corporations, with no allegiance to America is tantamount to inviting a Trojan Horse into the Pentagon.  Most of our very large corporations are more concerned about shareholder profit than America’s future. This myopia,  is helping fuel the economic challenges of America. Stimulating local manufacturing and regaining President Kennedy’s focus on space is essential to the future of our children and our Nation’s existence. Lets hope that Donald Trump can see this future and work to restore our nation’s self reliance.  Depending upon China for our technology is not a very wise decision for our long term survival.

“Little evil would be done in the world if evil never could be done in the name of good.”

I love this above quote from Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach, but I wonder what the real consequences might be of attempting to enact its words?   I say this because I wonder,  if her eloquent sounding statement actually has any “real meaning”  when we consider the possibly undefinable words it relies upon, “good and evil.”

If  the end of evil, in the name of good,  became a reality, would the basis for many of our best adventure stories vanish like fog in the morning sunrise?   In our most dramatic stories and plays, from ancient times onward, it is essentially the battle between good and evil that occupy center stage, despite the actor’s exuberant strutting and stammering.  Not to say there would not be enough to write about.  Just living, surviving, exploring, advancing society and technology, challenging the limits of our existence, reaching out to the beckoning call of the sea of space, to name just a few………..  would surely be enough to write about.  Just one type of “evil” would vanish, that being the actions of one being or group of beings, against another of opposing opinions or values.

This concept of  the “end of evil in the name of good”  makes me wonder  what is “evil?” How do we define “evil?”  We won’t touch this much right now as it has been debated for centuries and appears clearly unresolved to intellectual thinkers, though perhaps not so to religious ones!  Yet,  Marie, personally,  had no problem with expecting that evil could be defined by someone; If not, her quote makes no sense!

If we step away from living entities performing evil what else is evil?  Is there evil?  One enticing thought that comes from this discussion is can we define death as evil?  Perhaps it is unjust to call death an “evil”  after all, we don’t know what death is because we don’t know what comes after it (at least other than by faith), just before it.  However, this is a whole other subject and likely a floating away from the torrentouous  sea of thoughts that Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach’s words, seem to have set astorm.

But back to Marie. How many times can you look back on history and see that a war was fought in the name of “good,” but that good appears to have been very one sided?  Perhaps that means that one sided good is another name for “evil.”  In fact this appears to make a lot of sense, when you give it some grey cell time. Does that mean that whatever we do as a nation that we declare is “good” has to be seen by all as good to truly be good?

One of the salient issues of our era, at the moment, is Islamic terrorism. Islamic Terrorists claim that they are on the side of  good,  and those whom they are attacking are evil.  The peace-signWest, mostly Christian and Jewish, in its essential values, sees it the other way around (for the most part). We do not often deny that we have made some poor decisions in our effort to “rescue”  other nations from the villainous grips of tyrannical leaders. History is replete with good guys waging war on evil.  We hope history will see us as the good guys. Maybe Marie’s statement is nonfunctional because of its dependencies?  Should we consider perhaps that forceful actions taken in the name of “good” are the issue and not the definition of good? In that case, evil might not be done if warfare was not allowed!

If only we could agree to ban war as a method of “overcoming evil” can you imagine how we might resolve our differences?  We might even be able to throw out trying to define good and evil.  Martin Luther King, amongst other good company, championed the concept of war free conflict (non-violent protest in his case). It does produce results, even without a martyr. Unfortunately the rioting thugs (who like to be misidentified as Afro-Americans, don’t know enough about the great men like Martin Luther King).

Perhaps a potentially better statment (though longer)  than hers might be considered.

  • Little evil would be done in the world if evil never could be done in the name of good”  might become…
  • “little evil would be done in the world if warfare, of any sort,  was not permitted in an effort to replace perceived evil with perceived good.

Warfare is also not so easy to define.  Is economic warfare war?  Is political manipulation and destabilization of nations war?

If we could ban “warfare”  of most types, it could potentially make for a great story. However, considering that the “natural order of our universe” appears to be the  survival of all living creatures who are dependent upon a hierarchy of species dominance and a food chain, it strains credulity.

Somewhere in our universe I know this story is being played out.  Ah…but to witness it in person and learn its secrets!  My exploration of this issue and slowly upcoming story currently labeled “The Carrnegg”  is an attempt to visit this time and place…….  stick around.

Monsanto NO! GMO YES?

world-according-to-monsanto

While Monsanto and others, such as  collaborating factory food farmers,  have banded together to financially support an agenda of using you and your children as experimental lab mice for their GMO “food,” this does not make GMO a bad word or a bad idea.

The value of GMO organisms to humanity might just be proven in the coming years if transparency,  honesty and the Nations of  Earth as a consensus are part of the process.  All of humanity on Earth deserve a voice in what if ANYTHING  GMO is released into our environment and even more so if it is into our food supply!

However, Monstanto and its financial partners need you to experiment on and so they work to deny you access  to information that will let you chose between GMO and NATURAL food. The spend millions to fight your right’s to GMO labeling of food in the marketplace.

They in essence treat you like the humans caged for experimental purposes in Planet Of  The Apes;  they make you into experimental lab rats planet of apes cages 01for their experimental GMO foods!  This is far from transparency.

I am NOT for GMO food, I do not believe it is safe for humans or the environment!  The Monsanto products are especially horrific as the are bred to produce toxins and tolerate toxins (pesticide) that Monsanto manufactures and evidence clearly shows are dangerous to humans and the environment.

On the other hand there can be benefits from GMO organisms that the Earth’s people can agree upon if produced with transparency and careful research and development controls. What kind of products might be of benefit?

Well considering that an estimated 3/4 of a million people die each year from mosquito bites,  wiping oxitecout mosquitoes without poisoning the environment with toxic chemicals might be a good plan!  Or even better, creating GMO mosquitoes that are revolted by the scent of human bodies (less impact on an environment whose complexity we cannot hope to understand, currently. Is anyone working in this direction?  One company is and that is Oxitec however their approach is not without concerns and conflict.

Director of GeneWatch UK, Dr Helen Wallace, said: ‘Local people should be aware that releasing large numbers of GM mosquitoes can pose risks to their health and the environment. ‘They also need to know who will be liable if anything goes wrong. Will Oxitec take responsibility for any problems, or GeneWatch UKjust walk away?’ GeneWatch said changes could be introduced into the wild population which means the Dengue Fever they spread might become more dangerous to humans.  It claims that if the numbers of one type of mosquito – Aedes aegypti – is reduced as result of the release of GM versions, others, such as the Asian Tiger mosquito, which also carry the virus, could come in and thrive. Gene Watch also claims that there is no evidence from experiments conducted to date that human cases of Dengue Fever fall as a result of releasing the GM insects.

The future benefits or tragedies of GMO organisms remains shrouded in mystery.  The complexity involved in predicting the benefits or dangers of releasing GMO organisms into something as complex as our environment is currently beyond the comprehension of humanity.  At first glance Oxitec’s plans to sterilize dangerous mosquitoes seems sensible; however, GeneWatch’s  Helen Wallace’s comments also have merits! Destabilizing one species might enable an even more dangerous species!

This is why transparency is so needed. It will promote open debate and discussion that may provide enough of an answer to make the risks worth the benefits.  This would  especially be true  if unexpected damages an be reversed and those seeking to profit from this technology are willing to take Personal Liability as well as insurance to repay those harmed against unforeseen consequences. Look no further than the environmental damage of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Genetic Literacy Project  is supposed to be such an enlightened institution for GMO education and transparency.  However when you MotherJones Magdig deeper it certainly appears that the huge monetary clout of the big  GMO industry may have its tentacles in the door of integrity and the Genetic Literacy Project may not be transparent at all.  Mother Jones magazine has an interesting story in this regard so here in the story “The Making of an Agribusiness Apologist.

In the recent Superman sci-fi movie,  survivors of Krypton come to Earth intending to terraform Earth into a planet for Krypton’s beings to live on.  In the process, humanity would be obliterated. Releasing a truly dangerous GMO organism into the Earth’s environment has potentially similar dangers and one that we might not be able combat.  There is  a great deal of need for debate and world wide cooperation in the establishment of transparent multinational institution, like the UN was supposed to become, whose sole purpose is to protect our fragile world from the financial greed that lurks behind the potentially great technologies that science has served up.

There Is No Right Or Wrong, Just The Greed Of “Leadership”!

Seen in the picture below, is terrorism’s new face. It is described by one of my favorite reporters,  Vicky Nanjappa, in his article Lashkar, ISIS and the Chechen Terrorists and deserves careful scrutiny. Vicky describes the new face of a potential World Of United Terrorism, partially thanks to Obama’s support of terrorism by his poorly timed withdrawal  creating chaos.  And this chaos resulting in the destruction of all America’s solider’s have fought to achieve over 13 years of fighting,  an opportunity for freedom in the Middle East.  George Bush surely read Natan Sharanky’s book The Case For Democracy: The Power Of Freedom to Overcome Tyranny And Terror; Obama either doesn’t read much or has another agenda.

WHO IS RIGHT?  Who is Right and who is Wrong in this world wide battle between Freedom and the Caliphate of Islam?  In my opinion, we all know the answer, if we look inward.  It is those who look outward, with visions of power and greed that know only one word, War!  Most great leaders, who had faith in God, said look within to find God and his truth.  If you do so, you will recognize that we are all human and as such imperfect.  You will recognize that the word of any “prophet”  could only be the best impression an imperfect person could share.  You will recognized that you don’t want to kill your neighbor; you want to live in peace. You will recognize that there is enough bounty to enrich the lives of every person on Earth and care for the planet, if the goal was to do so. You will recognize that all the systems of religion and government are there for the powerful, cruel, and greedy whose “genius” is to lead others to slaughter their neighbors so the leaders might achieve their visions.  The ONLY truth is simple, “love thy neighbor.”   If instead of accumulating money, we were to accumulate “gold stars” for each person we helped in our life’s journey as a businessman, doctor, lawyer, politician or ditch digger, it would be a better world!  What do we really need?  Do we need to own an Island and a Jet?   Is it not better to have happiness and reap the joy of the seeds we have sowed by creating the only value that has meaning, the enriched lives of others and the planet?

Why do Americans,  in a recent survey,  prefer Cockroaches to Congressmen in their homes?   It is because in our hearts we know the truth about leadership, all of it!

There is a simple answer to all our problems but we have killed our neighbors in its denial for thousands of years.  That answer is that the truth is within a heart that loves his neighbor as his self.   Words spoken by many religious leaders but denied in their “practice of religion itself!”

So,  who is right and who is wrong?   Should we have a Caliphate or Freedom? The answer is simple, there is No Answer from outside only from within.  If you follow ANY teaching,  Islamic, Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, Communist, Republican,  Democratic, Kingdom ….. You are looking outside for a leader who will draw boundaries in the sand and lead you to war.

If humanity and the Earth are to survive,  it is time to recognize that if God is all powerful he will speak to our hearts when we turn inward without the teachings and messages of “leaders”  who are always, in my opinion, false prophets.  There is one truth only, Love Thy Neighbor As Thy Self,  after all we are all children of God and by so doing, prove our love for God.

The world “Leadership”, as we know it  historically,  needs to be redefined. You see, if there are no boundaries we call MINE and not YOURS,  then there is no place to lead to and no need for leaders.   Leaders don’t lead us to success they lead us to protect our imagined wealth and another’s hoped for poverty. They do not lead us to greatness, they lead us to war, death and division.

When we learn to live united as God’s People, without leaders and shun them as much as we have shunned “false prophets” then we will possibly find truth. Then the  Caliphate, ISIS and the Chechen Terrorists  will be as meaningless as any other flag rallying for the death of its neighbor.  We need to erase all these imagined boundaries, recognize humanity and Earth, turn inward with love and share the resultant joy and prosperity.  It is a simple vision but a difficult task because leaders get in the way.

Is It Time For A Constitutional Convention?

Apparently there may be enough states which have voted for a Constitutional Convention to begin such a process!  The question is do you really want to put that much more power in the hands of  what many Americans call  paid for “scum” and greed driven people that call themselves congressmen?  Even if the Federal Congressmen were bound to the issues defined in the Conventional Call could we define such a platform at the State Level or is our country too diverse in its fragmented egocentricity to agree to some carefully chosen fundamentals?  There are a lot of questions to answer before rushing headlong into what may seem like opportunity and turn out to be otherwise.

consitutional convention

The federal laws describing this process are vague, according to Fox News; but,  it seems likely that the mechanism allowing 2/3 of the State’s Legislature’s  to call one would imply that states demanding the convention would decide the issues for Amendment and not the currently  corporate funded congress.  At least under the concept of States Rights, which was created to  protect the states from the abuse of a Federal Government.  At this point it seems a bit of conjecture to decide how such a convention’s empowerment would be structured, its responsibility to states and if we could agree on a platform.  It is however hard to deny that being able to restructure congress and reduce the usurpation of power by the executive and judicial,  to better serve the people equitably,  does not have its appeal.

All over the Internet you can find plans for a 28th amendment.  Many of these drafts have a lot in common. Perhaps before we call a Constitutional Convention, if this is possible for the states,  we need a clear platform of goals and a plan for demanding its execution.  And, who does not like the word “execution”  when thinking of congressmen?

When I first received an email asking me to share the concept and motivate others to join in a call for a Constitutional Convention, I thought this might be an exciting opportunity especially since it appears so many other states have already voted for it.

Then on second thought, the cartoon so well designed above,  gave me pause for reflection.  For a while I have wondered if the salvation of America could come from a military Coup D’eta?  But forget our military, they serve mindlessly and at the top are well “paid for” like congress.  Corporations rule, for now; however, even in a world so controlled as Roller Ball imagined,  in its creative visionary movie back in ’75, there is opportunity for people who believe in freedom.

If this is an opportunity to give power back to the people and end the rule of corporations in America, lets think this process through before taking action.

  1. Can States call a Constitutional Convention?
  2. Can we agree on a well defined platform to giver power back to the people and stop congressional corruption?
  3. Can we control the outcome so that congress serves us rather then severing us from empowerment?
  4. Can we organize to do this?  Considering the “Arab Spring,”  why not!

Issac (Asimov) The Reborn Profit’s Warning

asimov on throneAMERICAN VALUES:  In my closet hangs my Dad’s WWII Uniform and a box full of medals.  He belonged to the GREAT GENERATION.  My friend Steve Ross says they were great for many reasons but the most salient being as he says, “They were told as they approached Normandy’s Shores on troop carrying boats,  that that they would walk into a hale of bullets and bombs.  If the guy in front of them fell down, they were to pick up his weapon,  hold it above their heads with their own, so it would not get wet  and could be fired, and hurry forward!   They ran out into the hale of bullets and near certain death because they were God Fearing People with God Given Values that they would die for, so their children might not be prisoners to the totalitarian Nazi soulless monstrosity!  After all the Nazis were exterminating humans in a way we would never treat animals!’  They achieved what few men could have truly believed and created a world of prosperity and blessings for their children, who later turned a blind eye to values.

INVISIBLE SOULLESS ROBOTS (Asimov):  The less than great generation followed and were conquered with very few bullets and very little fight!  The occasionally make protest like noise but scamper away at the first sign of challenge.  They could most often not see their enemy and now it even looks like leadership to some.  Without the laws of Robotics (the 10 commandments for robots) entities with human rights and superhuman rights have proliferated.  See if you can find them,  Asimov would have had no problem!

Eisenhower warned us.  A bullet through Kennedy’s head made Johnson president and gave oil companies and arms makers, greater power in America’s future.  Viet-Nam taught us how Mary Ann Vecchio screams as she kneels over the body of fellow smuch government could suppress protests, remember Kent State.

Pesticide causes cancer but it is good enough for the feudal peasants.

Monsanto modifies genes but you cannot be allowed to know where,  when, how or with what consequences;  you are now the lab rat for its tests.

Chickens in cages scream from birth to death and are unheard,  until your family member dies from the disease it gave birth to in its eggs.  SmithField’s pigs are born and live in an environment that would make Treblinka,  Auschwitz-Birkenau commandants proud.

Corporations are “blessed”  by  The “Supreme” Court and its church leadership  by being defined as people with rights greater than that of ordinary citizens (hint).

Corporations can be “American Based”  while making everything over seas.  So they can financially destroy your jobs future, your future retirement,  your families future,  while your children fight for the corporate rights to do so on foreign soil,  in undeclared wars. Remember Eisenhower’s warning?  What laws of Robotics define the actions of the invisible automatons, whose rights, powers and influence turn you and your family into chickens in a factory farm?

How did we get so far away from the values of the Great Generation?   Why are we laying down our arms and surrendering?  Why do we grant powers to automatons that make Godzilla look small?  Can you see the power of  money, bribery and your eyess blinded by TV hypnosis?

Occupy Wall StreetI Dare You To Become The Next Great Generation:  Vow To Not Watch TV, it would be a great start!

Can we change from our current Oligarchy back to a people’s republic, one nation under God with liberty and justice for all?

“Reality Sci-Fi Theater,” A Writer’s Diversion

obamacareReality science fiction (which I have just coined as a name),  is unimagined economic and social forces as devastating as our “Shock And Awe” campaign in Iraq, that are invisible to the naked eye. It is tornado like forces that others see as if they were late fall winds whisking leaves from trees.

As I live outside the box, I see the tornadoes before those inside and so decided to show others the evidence and offer them an opportunity to build and Arc with me and others like me.  So instead of writing Sci-Fi for the last 8 months I have been a  researcher, writer and director,  on stage,  creating  Sci-Fi  Reality Theater performance (one way too real but too sci-fi to be my America.).

As many of you know, I have not posted a lot lately or completed any new sci-fi publication as books.  As some of you know, I am also and eye doctor who has taken a unique challenge in dealing with the impact of ObamaCare on our health care system.

I have led the founding of the NYIPA, a group of doctors forming an Independent Practice Association, IPA.  An IPA could be defined as a  tool that allows doctors to organize as a single groups that provides medical services to buyers.  In my vision it is a tool to help doctors survive the premeditated destruction of all they have worked to achieve,  by the corruption in Washington that has turned America from a Republic into an Oligarchy.  In so doing, I have written miles of text that describes this Reality Sci-Fi Theater as it is being enacted on the streets of our nation.

Here is one of my favorite essays, Peering Over The Professional Precipice,  much of which I stole (with permission) from my colleagues in Ct.

What is the Sci-Fi like reality behind ObamaCare that makes it worth such a diversion from my favorite topic of traditional Sci-Fi?   It is the mass cultural hypnosis that Washington has been able to achieve to get our countrymen to allow a financial give away, much like TARP, to corporations that have underfunded health care and over-funded CEOs.  It is the ability of an Oligarchy to siphon the blood of its civilians while promising weigh loss with no need for dieting.

One of the key features of this charade is EMR  (electronic medical records). Emr is promised as the solution to health care’s inefficiency.  You know what it is as it has replaced your doctor’s attention at all your medical visits over the last few years. It is why you doctor does not know your face when you visit him or her,  but rather a screen full of data that is supposed to be you.  In Sci-Fi EMR will work and in reality it is a give away to insurance companies (who elect the president and congress)  used to turn a doctor’s patient time into free data entry and secretarial services for Insurance companies.

The devastating effect of EMR and its accompanying accountable care (ObamaCare)    has inspired my very short story about EMR Terrorism (posted here on a FaceBook group I started),  written for doctors and others,  to help them understand the impact of one missile, EMR, in the Shock and Awe campaign of OmbaCare’s reality show.

Emr Terrorism Book on Smashowrds

For those of you who are curious to read it and don’t love FaceBook here is a link to SmashWords for a free copy of ‘How To Kill Your Doctor For Fun And Profit.”    So you see I have been writing and I did publish a short story.

This short story is just the beginning of a series on how Bill And Hilary’s Great Adventure,  has been recast in the garbs of ObamaCare with the magical pixie dust of EMR to make it seem different.   Make no mistake about it, the tornado you take for a wind, is the rebirth of the failed HMO’s and Capitated health care that died a slow death while destroying the lives of many people back in the ’90s.

Can We Trust Monsanto with Our Food?: Scientific American

Scientific American has been my favorite publication ever since I was a kid.  Now, to my disappointment,  I must write this publication off my list of respected sources due to the article named in the title above. The article which is available in the hyperlink below, from Scientific American, has the strong smell of scientific bull shit; here is why:   Like any “good politician”  this article which claims to reply to your concerns,  answers the wrong question!  In other words,  it is a clear lie.  The question is not weather this elitist intellectual scientist  is right about GMO food being safe; the question is do you have the right  to choose by food labeling! This author answered the first question not the second and even the answer to the first if full of holes as you can learn from GMO Myths & Truths linked on the right –>

It is unlikely that GMO food is safe, as hundreds of articles have pointed at reasons for concern!  Some important issues are the destruction of normal soil bacteria by plants secreting chemo-toxins (they were modified to create) that now damage the soils health as a food for plants!  Another is the sudden die out of bees from colony collapse disorder which may turn out to be a byproduct of GMO foods as many suspect.  Even if all these are wrong,  NO ONE HAS A RIGHT TO EXPERIMENT ON YOUR FAMILY WITH GMO FOODS, and not tell you!  That is the issue.  Monsanto is fighting with billions of dollars of corporate money to have our government BAN the labeling of food as GMO so you won’t know!
